Honor Flight Applications

The Honor Flight of the Ozarks currently has five (5) different ways to actively participate.

Veteran:
The Honor Flight of the Ozarks recognizes and honors our American Veterans for their dedication, service, and sacrifices by flying them to Washington, D.C. to see their memorials. There is absolutely NO COST to the Veteran, as they have already paid the price through their service to our country.

Guardian:
Every Veteran is accompanied by a Guardian. Guardians are integral to the Veteran during the mission. There are two (2) types of Guardians, family and unassigned. They stay with the Veteran throughout the day and ensure the Veteran has the best day possible for their mission.

Volunteer:
The Honor Flight of the Ozarks could not function without the help of the Volunteers. The Volunteers within the organization are instrumental with making every mission a success. They are here before, during, and after the flight returns home from the mission.

Youth Council:
The Honor Flight of the Ozarks Youth Council is an organized and dedicated group of high school students who volunteer their time to HFO, help bring awareness to the organization, and raise funds to support the HFO mission.

Honoring Yesterday’s Heroes:
Honoring Yesterday’s Heroes is a program to recognize and honor deceased Veterans who were not able to visit their memorial in Washington, D.C. The program is open to all deceased Veterans who served on active duty, regardless of the duty assignment or location in which the Veteran served.
